24 gram darts — a touch more weight through the throw

At 24g you start to feel the dart working for you. The extra weight carries the barrel to the board with less effort, which suits a slower, more deliberate throwing action and players who find lighter darts require too much force to control.

It's a popular step for players who began at 22g or 23g and found their darts drifting high or feeling like hard work over a long session.

Weight and your throw

Heavier darts drop more sharply as they slow, so they tend to land nose-down. If that's the shape you want and your current darts aren't giving it to you, moving up a gram or two is a cheaper experiment than changing everything else.
