90% tungsten — the sensible standard

90% tungsten is where most serious darts sit, and where most players should be looking. Tungsten is far denser than brass, so a 90% barrel is dramatically slimmer than a brass dart of the same weight — which is the whole point, because slimmer barrels sit closer together in the board.

The remaining 10% is nickel, which makes the barrel machinable and durable. Going higher costs considerably more for a modest gain in slimness.

Who it's for

Anyone past the beginner stage. If you've moved on from a brass set and you're throwing regularly, 90% tungsten is the right place to spend your money — and the widest range of barrel shapes and signature sets lives here.
