At 21g you're at the lighter end of what most adult players throw. A lighter dart needs more force to carry the same distance, which produces a faster, flatter trajectory and less of the arc you get from a heavy barrel.

That suits players with a quick, forceful release. It also suits younger and junior players, who often find a 23g or 24g set tiring over a long session.

Is 21g right for you?
